Last day at Wimbledon

It is going to be very strange to leave Wimbledon. I studied my Masters here and this has been my first career step towards teaching PhD students and being a researcher.

All I know from academia is in the context of Wimbledon. I am expectant to see where the future takes me, what new things I learn and what skills I develop. I am a bit daunted by devising and running the training programme entirely on my own but this is what I have wanted to do for a long time. I can’t complain because I chose it. Besides, the best way to learn how to swim is to understand the principles and then jump into the pool, right?
